Hate It, Change It

“Oh God, it’s Monday already! That means I’ve got to go to work. Still, only 5 days til the weekend”

How many people say this? Do you?

How many people go through life constantly waiting for the weekend?

How many people go through life hating five days of the week where their only relief is Saturday and Sunday?

How many people go through life hating their jobs? Hating their life? And moaning that things don’t go their way?

The thing is, like attract like.

If you bitch, moan and hate, you’ll attract people who bitch, moan and hate.

And you’ll never be happy and you’ll never create the life you want if you don’t create it.

It’s not going to happen by chance.

It takes hard word, dedication and perseverance.

But if you truly want something it’s worth it.

Trouble is, most people don’t know what it is they actually want.

They think its more money, they think its more wealth, they think its more fame, they think it’s more success.

They often think that these things will make them happy and that unless they have them in their life they wont be happy.

I read a great quote from Jim Carrey the other day. He of Ace Ventura fame once said “I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it’s not the answer”

What he’s basically saying is that everyone chases more money, more success, more fame because they think that’s what will make them happy.

But once they attain it they realise that they still feel the same. Sure you may be able to buy more things but stuff doesn’t make you happy. Stuff doesn’t make you fulfilled. This is why you often see celebrities who on the outside look to have everything that they could ever dream of but turn to destructive behaviours such as drug taking, in the search for something else.

You see, happiness doesn’t come from without. It starts from within. It starts being grateful and appreciating what you have and building from there.

Sure, bad things happen to all of us from time to time. BUT put them down to experience. Learn from them, but don’t dwell on them. Don’t feed the negative.

Instead, reinforce the positive things that you have in your life by acknowledging all the good things that you have and be thankful for them.

Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you don’t like it, or want a different result, make a different choice.

Have an awesome day,

MK 🙂
