5 Top Health Tips

Didn’t you say you were starting your diet today?
What happened?
I’m sorry to say that you missed your chance to join my 21 Day Programme that got underway today.
But I thought I’d drop you this quick email with five tips that will get you started on the road to a fitter, healthier body.
Tip 1: Set realistic goals.
Know where you are today so you know how to get where you want to be. Take your measurements, weigh yourself and take a before photo.
Set yourself up for success with short-term goals, like “I will make lifestyle changes which will help me lose fat and improve my health.”
Short-term goals can seem more achievable and keep you on track toward your long-term goals.
Tip 2: Understand how much and why you eat.
Write everything you eat in a food diary or tracking app for a week or so, so that you understand what, how much, and when you’re eating.
Be mindful of your eating habits so that you can learn your trigger situations and feelings. Banishing excuses can help you get real about your goals.
Tip 3: Manage portion sizes.
It’s easy to overeat when you pile up food onto your plate. Smaller portions can help prevent eating too much. Learn the difference between a portion and a serving and how to keep portions reasonable.
Tip 4: Make smart choices.
You don’t have to become evangelistic and give up all your favourite foods (read junk food).
Learn to make smart food choices and simple substitutions instead. Swop your chocolate bar for an apple and a handful of nuts. Eat more veggies and foods naturally higher in protein to help keep you fuller longer.
Tip 5: Be physically active.
Physical activity is anything that gets your heart rate up, like walking, swimming running and circuit based exercise. Aim for at least 45 minutes of exercise 3 times per week to help you burn extra calories and keep you moving towards your goals.
If you have any questions, or would like to get started on your journey to a fitter, healthier you, just drop me a message and I can get you started on my next programme
Have a great Monday,
